Pineapple Bread

Ingredients

Add warm pineapple juice (70 to 80 degrees) to shopping list 1 cup warm pineapple juice (70 to 80 degrees)

Add water (70 to 80 degrees) to shopping list 2 tablespoons water (70 to 80 degrees)

Add egg to shopping list 1 egg

Add butter or margarine, softened to shopping list 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened

Add sugar to shopping list 3 tablespoons sugar

Add salt to shopping list 1 teaspoon salt

Add bread flour to shopping list 3 1/4 cups bread flour

Add active dry yeast to shopping list 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

Add finely chopped candied pineapple, optional to shopping list 2 tablespoons finely chopped candied pineapple, optional

Directions:

In bread machine pan, place the first eight ingredients in the order suggested by manufacturer. Select basic bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available.

Bake according to bread machine directions (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if necessary). Just before final kneading (your machine may audibly signal this), add the pineapple if desired.
